Scan documents on our new copiers and download them wherever you like!
Next to the possibility to scan documents ‘to USB stick’ on our new copiers (GBIB 1 and GBIB 3), it is now also possible to scan ‘to server’. After scanning, you can download these files from a web application. This new functionality offers you several advantages:
- With ’scan to usb stick’, you can only obtain PDF-files, whereas ’scan to server’ gives you the choice between PDF or TIFF.
- Did you forget your USB stick? No problem, you can scan!
- It’s fast and easy.
What is the procedure?
On the copier (GBIB 1 or GBIB 3), go to:
- ‘Scannen’ or ‘Wizards’ > ‘Combined Scan Job’
- Select ‘Scan to server’
- Start scanning
- Memorise the copier name (GBIB1 / GBIB3), the date and time you did the scan job.
On your computer, go to:
- Your computer must be logged on at CampusNet (http://netlogin.kuleuven.be)
- Copy ‘\\ghumprt2.ghum.kuleuven.ac.be\scanner’ into the adress box at the top of your browser
- Open directory ‘GBIB’
- You can find your file by copier name, date and time (e.g. GBIB1_20090603_102338).
